Pittsburgh/New Castle/Meadville, PA – Brian J. Kassalen, CPA, a Partner with the accounting and consulting Firm of Carbis Walker LLP, was selected by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) as one of the “People to Watch: 40 Under 40.” Individuals identified in the list are PICPA members who have demonstrated commitment to the profession by active participation in PICPA activities by holding leadership positions, serving on committees, supporting PICPA programs, and recruiting new members.
Kassalen serves as the Coordinator of Audit & Accounting Services for Carbis Walker. Additionally, he is a member of the Firm’s Manufacturing & Distribution Services Team and also serves as the Firm’s Quality Control Coordinator with responsibilities to include the oversight monitoring of the Firm’s system of quality control, including compliance with professional standards, providing technical consultations on audit and accounting matters to clients, review of financial statements, and presenting continuing education on audit and accounting subjects both internally and externally.
He is a graduate of Saint Vincent College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), where he is currently serving on the Accounting and Auditing Procedures Committee
