Pittsburgh/New Castle/Erie/Meadville, PA/Boardman, OH – Carbis Walker LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Consultants, has announced that Brian J. Kassalen, CPA, has been admitted to the Partnership.

He is a member of the Firm’s Manufacturing & Distribution Services Team where he provides specialized audit, accounting, and consulting services to a wide range of clients.  He is also the Firm’s Audit and Accounting Coordinator with responsibilities to include the oversight monitoring of the Firm’s system of quality control, including compliance with professional standards, providing technical consultations on audit and accounting matters to clients, review of financial statements, and presenting continuing education on audit and accounting subjects both internally and externally.  Prior to joining Carbis Walker, Kassalen worked for both a Big Four and regional firm where he focused on providing assurance and advisory services to clients in the manufacturing industry.

He is a graduate of Saint Vincent College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA).   Kassalen is currently serving on the Accounting and Auditing Procedures committee for the PICPA.

He and his family reside in Richland Township, Pennsylvania.
