Pittsburgh, PA – Jeffrey J. Petrell, JD, CPA, a Partner with Carbis Walker LLP, Certified Public Accountants & Consultants, has earned the Outstanding Achievement Award for exemplary leadership and results during his time attending and graduating from the RSM McGladrey Network’s Partner Development Program. The honor was given to participants who have developed significant new business during the two-year program which is designed to develop future leaders by accelerating improvement in individual performance.

Petrell has over sixteen years of public accounting experience, including a large portion of time spent at “Big Four” International Accounting Firms. He has significant experience providing tax planning, compliance, and advisory services to a variety of organizations including taxable and tax-exempt organizations, multi-state businesses, and flow-through entities. He serves as Carbis Walker’s Director of Tax Services and is a member of the Firm’s Health Care Services Team.
He is a frequent speaker in the field of tax-exempt organizations and has authored articles published in The Pennsylvania CPA Journal and other publications. He is both a Certified Public Accountant and an attorney licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, receiving his BSBA degree in accounting from Robert Morris University, and his Juris Doctorate degree from Duquesne University School of Law.

He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County Bar Associations, the Tax Section Council of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
