certifications in the following areas:
Melissa Oakes, CPA, a Senior Associate with Carbis Walker LLP,
Certified Public Accountants & Consultants, has earned the
designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). Requirements for
the certification require a Bachelor’s degree, two years
of professional experience in a field either directly, or indirectly,
related to the detection or deterrence of fraud, and passing a
four-part exam which includes Criminology & Ethics, Financial
Transactions, Fraud Investigation, and Legal Elements of Fraud.
Oakes is a member of the Firm’s Health Care Services Team
Bonnie Richwalls, QKA, a Retirement Plan Consultant
with Walker Benefits, Inc., has earned the designation of a Qualified
Pension
Analyst (QPA). Richwalls had to complete a series of courses and
pass exams in the areas of Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit
Retirement Plans. She has been a member of the Walker Benefits
Team for seven years, and administering Defined Contribution and
Defined Benefit Plans for 16 1/2 years.
