Partner - Coordinator of Construction & Real Estate Services - New Castle

Jim Pitzer is a Partner and the Firm’s Coordinator of Construction & Real Estate Services. As a member of Carbis Walker for over sixteen years, Jim has focused on providing audit, review, compilation, and tax return services as well as assisting his clients with the preparation of Department of Transportation state prequalification reports. As a client service coordinator, Jim focuses on providing his clients guidance and assistance with project development, best practices and assisting them with maximizing efficiencies and profitability. Jim utilizes his construction expertise to provide specialized, professional services to contractors and construction related companies.

In his role as the Firm’s Coordinator of Construction & Real Estate Services, Jim is responsible for overseeing the activities of the Construction Team, initiating and monitoring its development and promotion, and the overall development and growth of the Construction Team members and the niche’s bottom line.

Additionally, Jim has been a member of the Firm’s Orientation Team, where his responsibilities include training new team members in the areas of audit and accounting services. His background also includes working in the private sector as the controller for a mechanical contractor.

Jim is a graduate of Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and sits on the board of advisors for the McGladrey Alliance’s Construction and Real Estate Network.
