Service Delivery Approach…Minimize Risk

At Carbis Walker LLP under no circumstances will we put our clients or ourselves at risk.

We invest a significant amount of resources to maintain the highest level of quality and integrity, and this philosophy is integrated into all areas of our business. A sampling of some of the initiatives that we undertake in relation to quality and integrity include:

  • Strict Adherence to Independence Standards (Sarbanes-Oxley and Governmental, if applicable)
  • Structured and Comprehensive Quality Control System
  • Encourage Finance/Audit Committee Participation
  • Use of Experienced Engagement Team
  • Arduous Peer Review Requirements
  • Utilization of Affiliations and Joint Ventures

Service Delivery Approach…Maximize Value – Experienced Team

While our primary focus of minimizing risk is never compromised, it is followed closely by our other focus which is adding value.

High Degree of Partner & Manager Participation

Based on the feedback we receive from our clients, many larger CPA firms staff engagements with individuals with five years experience or less. We believe that staffing engagements with individuals who have worked in health care finance for 10,15, or 20+ years better positions the team to add value throughout the engagement. With this in mind, the engagement team would include partners and supervisors, and the average level of experience (including newer team members) would be approximately ten years.

The partners and supervisors that will be assigned to the engagement have extensive experience in health care accounting, reimbursement, and tax. This allows us to recognize opportunities to strengthen internal control and add value while we are documenting the systems or performing the substantive testing.

Additionally, we prefer to maintain contact throughout the year to be a part of any accounting, tax, or reimbursement issues that may arise.
